The first annual Taste of Canton will be held on Thursday, May 21, from 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on the Kresge Lot in downtown Canton. This incredible spring festival, featuring local flavor and local fare, is brought to you by the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce and The Repository.
Stark County food enthusiasts will join together in the beautiful Canton cityscape to enjoy the tastes of the area’s restaurants and other food vendors, while enjoying quality time with friends and family.
Guests will get a true taste of Canton as more than 20 restaurants from Stark County will showcase their delicacies in the form of small sample plates, available for $2 to $5 per plate, the perfect price to sample an assortment of dishes! Selections will include appetizers, entrees and desserts from a variety of cuisines. In addition to these delicious “tastes” of Canton, the event boasts fine wines from Leo A. Dick & Sons and beers from Anheuser-Busch, and live entertainment from the U2 Incident and other area performers.
Tickets can be purchased onsite the day of the event, or in advance at all seven Fishers Foods locations, the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce, or online at www.cantonchamber.org. Buy before the day of the event, and you’ll receive 30 tickets for $25!

Calling all kids – and all you “kids at heart” – for family-friendly fun in the city! Come downtown on Saturday, May 30, for magnificent music and movies under the stars at Zing in the City! This FREE spectacular summer symphony performance is sure to delight your senses!
Prepare to take an amaZING Cinematic Adventure with the Canton Symphony Orchestra under the direction of assistant conductor, Matthew Brown! You’ll be entertained with music themes from popular motion pictures, while trailers from the movies play on a pair of jumbo movie screens. Need a snack? Theatre-style concessions snacks will be on sale for munching.
