Canton Farmers’ Market abuzz with new, opens June 20th

Very shortly, we will see the fruits of the labor of many hard working farmers at the Canton Farmers’ Market. The market opens on June 20, and for many of us it could not have come sooner. Not only do we have all the same terrific vendors from last year, but many more have joined our market. The market will have plenty of new faces, including Maize Valley Market & Winery, Simon Organics and Kridler Gardens, plus folks we’ve seen year after year like Kienzle Farms, Troyer’s Home Pantry, Hannah Farms and Donna’s Delights.

The Market is your source for sustainable food, and you’ll have plenty choices for certified o rganic and pesticide-free products. The Market will offer a smorgasbord of goodies – making it a one-stop shop for the freshest food around. Picked the night before or morning of, our vendors offer the s we etest corn, tomatoes, fresh eggs, honey, beautiful cut flowers, pastries perfect for any summer picnic or brunch and much more! You can come to the market in the morning and leave with dinner for your table tonight.

The Market offers an incredible assortment of foods that are good for you and your family. The antioxidant values of the fruits and the vitamin content of market goodies are much higher than their grocery store counterparts. Plus, we have some great values to save you money. If these trying economic times have taught us anything, supporting local farms and farmers puts money right back into the community and keeps the best food on your table.
