Annual Arts Awards celebrates Stark’s biggest art advocates

The 2nd Annual Arts Awards, hosted by ArtsinStark, shined accolades on three area businesses and two area leaders who have truly made a difference by supporting the arts and giving back to their communities.

Aultman Health Foundation; Day Ketterer, attorneys at law; and Cyrus Custom Framing and Art Gallery took home the top honors for being the outstanding large, medium and small business of the year, respectively.

Artist Dana Muntean was honored as an outstanding artist for her work with students and contributions to the downtown Canton arts district. The award for outstanding arts volunteer was given to Deloris Angeli for her work as an arts advocate, creator of Art is Alive and of Ice-O-Rama.

“We talk regularly about the ‘arts explosion’ taking place in Stark County. None of this would be happening without the kind of remarkable leadership that these 15 nominees have provided,” said Susie Steiner, ArtsinStark vice chair.
