Survey of college opportunities through Stark County businesses

The Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce is attempting to help the Stark Education Partnership with a groundbreaking research project. The Partnership is trying to place a monetary value on all of the college financial aid available in Stark County. It already has amassed huge amounts of data on scholarships offered by colleges and foundations, and it has placed a dollar value on the numerous ways young people are aggressively earning college credit while still in high school.

TO COMPLETE THE PICTURE, WE NEED YOUR HELP.

If your company has spent money to offer internships, co-op programs or tuition reimbursements to Stark County residents and college students in the last two years, or plan to do so in 2009, we would ask you to report that investment for the purposes of this research. Your company’s identity will NOT be made public unless the Stark Education Partnership seeks and receives your permission. We are interested only in the investment in Stark County residents or students attending college in Stark County. Also, we would ask you to note the value of your company’s investment and the value of the overall program. This is significant only if you participated in a program partially subsidized by the government or some other outside agency.
