Leadership Stark County to host Better Boardsmanship seminar on Jan. 26

Leadership Stark County will offer a “Better Boardsmanship” training seminar on Thursday, Jan. 26, from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., for members of local non-profit boards, agency staff and interested community members. The seminar is being offered to ensure that non-profit agencies and their board members have access to best practices and current trends.

Leadership Stark County Government Leadership Academy accepting applications through January 20

Leadership Stark County is seeking applicants for its Government Leadership Academy through Jan. 20. The Government Leadership Academy offers elected officials, appointed officials and aspiring candidates leadership development skills and education about local and regional government. Jeff Matthews, chair, Stark County Republican Party and Randy Gonzalez, chair, Stark County Democratic Party, both recommend the academy. The program will begin Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012.

Encounter Bus Tour offers a unique view of Stark County

Leadership Stark County’s annual Encounter Bus Tour is departing on Thursday, Oct. 13. The one-day, deluxe motorcoach tour of Stark County offers new residents and established professionals a unique view of the assets, businesses and resources in Stark County.

Leadership Stark County welcomes 25th Signature Class

Thirty-nine area leaders have been selected for the 25th Signature Program Class of Leadership Stark County (a department of the Canton Regional Chamber). The 25th Class is an extraordinary representation of this region. Selected participants represent the diversity that exists in Stark County’s cities, villages, schools, non-profit organizations and businesses.
