The ceremony, which will be held on May 6, 2014, celebrates businesses for their overall excellence and outstanding achievement in three award categories: Business Excellence Awards, Business of the Year and the Emerge Award for Entrepreneurs.
Winners are those who are on the cutting-edge of emerging technology, making capital investments to our area, dedicating resources to the community and helping to make our region more appealing to business growth and relocation.
Specific nomination criteria includes: business and employment growth, expansion of operations/efficiencies, outstanding customer service, investments in capital improvements, innovation or expansion of product line(s), responsiveness to business and industry challenges and adversity, and community involvement.
Eligibility for all three award categories:
Any for-profit companies that are non-publicly traded and have been outstanding during the past year are eligible for nomination.
To be considered for the Emerge Award for Entrepreneurs, the current business must be for-profit, non-publicly traded and in existence for five years or less.
