Enshrinement Festival wins IFEA Pinnacle Awards

CANTON, OH (November 25, 2013) – The Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Festival was recently recognized by the International Festivals & Events Association (IFEA) with two Pinnacle Awards, a Gold Pinnacle Award for “Best Event Video,” and a Silver Pinnacle Award for “Best Street Banner.” The Enshrinement Festival won in both categories for events with budgets over $1.5 million.

Awards were presented in 68 different categories, and winners were announced on Sept. 18 at the IFEA/Haas & Wilkerson Pinnacle Awards Ceremony during the IFEA’s 58th Annual Convention & Expo in Pittsburgh, Pa.

The professional competition drew entries from among the world’s top festivals and events, with winning entries coming from organizations as varied as the Kentucky Derby Festival, Louisville, Ky.; Memphis in May International Festival, Memphis, Tenn.; 500 Festival, Indianapolis, Ind.; Des Moines Arts Festival, Des Moines, Iowa; Cherry Creek Arts Festival, Denver, Colo.; Pasadena Tournament of Roses, Pasadena, Calif., and the Burlington Sound of Music Festival, Burlington, Ontario, Canada.

International contenders included such diverse event organizations as Seoul Lantern Festival, Seoul, South Korea; World Gourmet Summit, Singapore; Grolsch Artboom Festival, Krakow, Poland; Stichting Rotterdam Festivals, The Netherlands; Festival Lent, Maribor, Slovenia and the Sentosa Leisure Management, Sentosa, Singapore.
