About the Speaker
Abbott grew up in Akron, attended the University of Akron, and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biology. After a 13-year career with Ohio State Parks, she “retired” to become a stay-at-home mom. In 2010, while on a girls’ trip to Scottsdale, Arizona, Abbott stumbled upon the concept of the food tour when the group signed up for a “Taste of Oldtown Scottsdale” Tour. She brought the concept back to Canton and started Canton Food Tours in 2012. She has completed her first season, and is planning diverse tours and events into 2013 and beyond.
